the benefits of this are many, including having one place that can direct you to all the various spots on the web where you can see/buy my work (there are quite a few now, and this tumblr is by far the least active)
again, if you’d like to keep up with my most recent art, my twitter is where it’s at. if you send me messages here, I almost certainly won’t see them!
thanks everyone for all your support on here over the years - if something big changes with this website, I may continue to post in the future, but I’m not holding my breath.
anyway, here’s a little angel (created for one of the lovely backers of the Heartwood Anthology by @powerandmagic) for you to follow to my new digs.
suspiciousspud asked: hey hi! I love your angel art and I was wondering if the ophanim and chayim hakodesh prints on redbubble will be available in other sizes? they're only listed as having one size each right now, which, I mean I'm still gonna buy em but,,
Answer:
hey there! sorry this sat for over a week, my tumblr usage is VERY sporadic these days.
i’m pretty sure the print sizes for those pieces are the only ones available to me on Redbubble based on the image size, which is unfortunately quite small! the original paintings are smaller than a standard piece of printer paper. i like to work tiny so i can sit curled up in a comfy chair and focus for hours, but it doesn’t do me any favors when it comes to reproduction - sorry, and thanks so much for the interest!
haven’t been on tumblr in a long time (find me here) but i’m proud enough of this to come back & share it here too. thinking about making prints - if/when i do, they’ll be available on Six of Hands. sending strength & solidarity to my Jewish community, especially my fellow queer & trans Jews, & love to anti-fascists of all kinds fighting for our lives.
ETA: fixed a wrong letter in the Yiddish - thanks twitter folk! people are asking for shirts so i’ll see what my options are - i’d love to do real screen printing but if i can’t get that worked out i can always put it on my redbubble.
reblogging to add some context for folks asking: “mir veln zey iberlebn” (we will outlive them) is a Yiddish protest song from 1939 that has become a modern Jewish anti-fascist rallying cry. the creatures pictured here are the Leviathan & the Ziz, two mythical monsters from Jewish tradition that i’m using to represent the enduring survival & power of the Jewish people & our stories.
this image is now available on shirts, stickers & prints here!

seems like a good time to repost my Twitter, which isn’t strictly art content but is currently the best place to see what I’m up to & get in touch with me!
I won’t be deleting this blog (though it’s definitely full of nipples so Tumblr might take it down) but I will be looking for a different way to present my art online - maybe it’s time to get a real website again?
will post the link here if I find a good place to move to!
nopoeticlicense asked: Will you be at MICE this year? I didn't appear to see you on the website, I'm just curious! Loved your work last year!
Answer:
So sorry I missed this! I didn’t apply to table at MICE this year due to the massive project of moving out to our farm in Western MA - I did go on Saturday though, caught up with some friends & bought lots of good stuff!
I’d love to table again someday but this year was way too much!
HEARTWOOD: Non-binary Tales of Sylvan Fantasy is the first ever non-binary comics anthology, made entirely by cartoonists who identify as a non-binary gender! The book is 250+ pages long, B&W interior, and features 21 young-adult stories.
Across time and cultures, humanity has spun tales about the forest: tales of caution, adventure, rites of passage, and discovery. Some of those stories persist as the folklore and fairy tales that delight our imaginations today, and the forest remains a symbol for facing the unknown and emerging transformed.
This anthology is for everyone who’s walked through the undergrowth, in the silence of nature, and longed for an adventure of their own to unfold. These stories of modern-day sylvan fantasy showcase some of the best non-binary cartoonists of our day, guiding characters like us into the woods and back again.
This anthology is really going to be something special, everyone’s work looks amazing and I think the piece I did with @magpiestudio is some of my best yet. Please consider pledging if you can, and spread the word!
HERE IT IS!!! Please watch the video, it’s gorgeous & you can see some of Jey’s fantastic artwork ANIMATED in it, I almost cried.
Finally finished with this massively detailed commission for my friend @faunmoss, who’s been super patient as I chipped away at this while also dealing with huge life changes!
If I said it was “grounding” to work on this, would you forgive me? I ❤ dirt!
A little late on posting this here (I’m a lot more active, but also a lot shoutier, on my twitter - you’re welcome to follow me over there if you don’t mind content sometimes being more personal or more fannish):
I’m thrilled to announce that I’m doing logo design & spot illustrations (such as this divider image) for the split release book of tabletop games Dream Askew & Dream Apart. The Kickstarter is already 200% funded after only a few days - if we hit our next stretch goal, we unlock an amazing zine with new contributors, and I really really want it, so please spread this around and consider backing at any level!
Dream Askew is about queer enclaves in the post-apocalyptic future dealing with social collapse & the struggle of trying to grow new things amidst literal & metaphorical rubble (as psychic storms loom on the horizon).
Dream Apart is about Jewish magic interwoven with day-to-day life in a 19th century shtetl, featuring angels, dybbuks, wedding jesters & klezmer musicians all rubbing elbows as people fight for cultural survival during a historic time of major change.
As a queer/trans, Ashkenazi Jewish artist, being a part of a project like this feels like a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and as a fan of the original Dream Askew game, I know that playing and telling these stories is not just inspiring & affirming, but REALLY fun. Read more at Buried Without Ceremony!
